German Riding Surfaces German riding surfaces are tailor made to suit all types of riding disciplines like jogging, jumping, galloping, and dressage. These German riding surfaces are blends of synthetic fibers, polyester felts, and rubber strands, along with water retaining mineral additives. These surfaces are designed as sand additives for the construction of new equestrian indoor and outdoor training and equestrian sports arenas, as well as for improving the quality of existing sand arena surfaces. The innoReittex blend is manufactured from shredded polyester material known as Reitplatzhäcksel iR. This revolutionary innovation had proved that the horse footing could be improved significantly and at the same time the vagaries in the characteristics of the various riding arenas could be easily balanced to create high quality riding surfaces. The tread layer is mixed with 1 to 3 centimeters of the shredded polyester chaff. The tread layer is available as silica sand type or as clay type, to ensure optimum footing cushion and stability under differing conditions. The elasticity of the surface is greatly enhanced by this novel readymade mixture. You could also buy innoReittex separately and add 2,5-4 kg of this polyester chaff for every square meter of the arena. Then you have to blend the chaff with the existing ground by a tiller, so that the polyester material is evenly mixed with the sand in the ground. These high-tech German riding surfaces increase the absorption and retention of moisture, ensuring ideal water drainage, complete dust control and perfect compaction. The German riding surfaces are highly stable and at the same time, they are springy and elastic to enhance the movement and flexibility of the horses.
